How to Build a Website

how to build a websiteBuilding a website can be darn easy when you know how. I do it every day, but what might be simple for me, might not be so simple for a business owner with absolutely no experience, and even less time – only an idea of what could be a buzzing future for your company.

The faster things get running the better, so I’ll show you how set up shop in under an hour. This leaves you time for more important things like publishing great content, driving traffic and getting customers!

Were going to build a “Self Hosted WordPress” site.  This means that we’ll install a website builder called WordPress on space provided by a web host.

Why self hosted WordPress?
Three Reasons.

  1. WordPress is the most popular website builder. Everyone from the little guy to fortune 500 companys use it because it can do just about anything.
  2. You have total control over everything you publish and where you put things.
  3. You OWN everything. No one can take that away from you, not even a total server meltdown if you back up your site up properly.

The only situation you would not want to use wordpress is if you are building a large store online.

So Lets Get Started…

Step One: Hosting and Your Control Panel

In my examples I use HostGators cpanel. If you already have web hosting, great! If not, Id like to recommend HostGator because they are very sincerely the best. In my experience, they run the fastest, most dependable set of servers I’ve ever done work on.

If decide to order hosting today, I have a deal. I make a small commission through sales from my site, so I was able to get you a 25% discount. Plus, to get you set up quicker, I’ll give you my premium wordpress theme for free!

Go to HostGator.com
Use Coupon Code: digitalrenewal
Email me with your proof of purchase and I’ll send the theme right away.
