Designed and coded to pick up where WordPress leaves off in Search Engine Optimization. The entire page layout structure and tag usage was rearranged to be as optimized as possible.
Notice the folder icon, first on the page. Here, the H1 tag was moved to the top of each post where it belongs. It utilitzes ‘the category’ in WordPress to automatically fill the H1 tag. Enter your main keyword phrase as the Category and your H1 tag is complete.
Post Tags follow, tucked in a nice meta box next to your entry. Use secondary keyword phrases as tags. They will automatically fill this box. They are styled with an h2 tag for the search engines, yet look nice and add user friendly navigation to each post.
The posts title no longer has the weight of an h1 or h2 tag. This was always so aggravating to me. Now you’re free to write awesome headlines for readers and not chain yourself into boring keywords for search engines. It’s merely in a class called ‘title’ so its styled nicely. These ‘titles’ are also used as the text anchor in your sidebar navigation.
Your content immediately follows. Very close to the top of the page, search engines get straight to it. Since H1 tags and H2 tags are complete, use H3 tags to style your contents subheads.
Menu code has been moved out of the spiders way, below the content so your natural text remains prominent. The menu is placed at the top with CSS and includes a drop down feature to list your pages (2 levels only).
The entire theme is extremely lightweight. I simplified the code as much as possible so spiders dont have much to wade through before finding your tags and content. Clean, tidy styling with three images totaling 3KB for ultra fast page loads.
I dont know how to write options into themes yet, so you’ll still need a plugin to rewrite your metastuff, title and description. I like the All In One SEO Pack. My first step in creating options for admin will be to add a simple logo url accessible in admin. As for now, send me an email with your logo and I will code it for you.
